Frequently Asked Questions

Whole Body Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a treatment that safely reduces body temperature while increasing endorphins, adrenaline and oxygen supply. The benefits of regular cryotherapy are numerous. Ain’t Life Cool uses an EVEREST by Cryobuilt chamber, which is electric and is the safest type of cryotherapy available.

While cryotherapy can benefit many people, here are some examples of those who can benefit the most:

  • Athletes looking to boost athletic performance and reduce recovery time
  • People with any type of chronic pain and inflammation
  • Patients recovering from surgery or various injuries
  • People suffering from bad sleeping habits and/or Insomnia
  • Anyone looking to improve their general wellness

After your session, you may feel a rush of energy, increased alertness and overall awareness, and a bit of a boost in mood.  2-3.5 minutes can burn up to 200-400 calories.

A whole body cryotherapy session will only take 2-3.5 minutes. It is a quick and easy procedure that can dramatically improve your overall well-being.

One should wear workout clothes or bathing suit. Protective gear will be provided and should be worn over ears, mouth, hands and feet during a full body cryotherapy treatment.

Whole body cryotherapy is much more efficient and powerful than a traditional ice bath. Ice baths take longer and do not encourage blood flow and circulation.

Localized Cryotherapy

Localized Cryotherapy makes use of nitrogen gas to target a particular area of the body. This procedure can be used to target many areas of the body that are suffering from acute pain, inflammation, and/or are sore/stiff.

Many clients choose to use both whole body cryo as well as the localized cryo. This allows them to receive the benefits of the whole body treatment while targeting any specific problem areas with the localized approach.

Depending on the treatment, a localized cryotherapy session typically takes between 3-10 minutes.

You should wear workout clothes or loose fitting clothes that allow access to the treatment area.

Compression Therapy

The NormaTec Pulse technology is designed to externally compress the limbs to mimic normal physiology using a pulsing, gradient, and distal release compression pattern for the most effective recovery tool.

NormaTec specializes in rapid recovery, giving an edge to athletes, coaches, and trainers. Using NormaTec’s patented PULSE technology, athletes will recover faster between training sessions and after performance.

Compression therapy is not only useful for athletes but for anyone passionate about fitness. People who work physically demanding jobs also experience significant benefits from the system as well as those who spend long periods of time on their feet. It is also useful to those recovering from surgery.

We recommend using compression therapy for 10-15 minutes.

We recommend comfortable, tight-fitting clothes. Loose clothes can bunch and be uncomfortable in the compression boots.
Athletic clothing that will allow your limbs to fit comfortably into the NormaTec compression sleeves is typically worn.

Red Light Therapy

Eye protection is recommended and is provided during your session.

You may experience slight warmth, relaxation of muscles, reduced stiffness, and noticeable pain relief after a few red light therapy sessions. Repeated use of red light therapy commonly results in improved muscle recovery and reduced pain and inflammation. Studies have also shown red light therapy to be beneficial for wound healing, overall skin health, and the reduction of wrinkles.

We recommend starting off at 3-6 minute sessions and then over time, working your way up to 10 minutes sessions.

You can wear clothes during your treatment sessions but make sure the area of your body you are treating is fully exposed to the light and not covered by any clothing.

Hydromassage

When you lay in a hydromassage lounger, you remain clothed and there are no massage therapists. just you and the chair. The lounge is filled and heated with water that uses water pressure for a consistent, relaxing, and effective massage. Streams of heated water travel up and down the body, allowing you to select the pressure and speed of your massage.
No. You will receive a full body massage with the use of pressurized water. You will simply lie down on the open design bed, fully clothed, and feel the benefits of the jet system.
The frequency of use is up to you. Frequent or daily use is both beneficial and safe.

Your hydromassage session can last 10 minutes or longer.

You are fully clothed during the session. We recommend comfortable clothing.
